My name is Wolfgang Spruch and together with my wife Silke, I have been intensively involved with wine for over 30 years. Wine was not just a hobby for us, but became our vocation and one of the central themes of our lives.

In 1998, we began to successfully build up a large online wine trade until our wine shop was one of the top addresses in Germany. We were particularly inspired by regular visits to different wine regions and wineries and, of course, contact with the people who produced the wines in their great diversity of quality.

We expanded our wine trade over 15 years. Our work was honoured several times in the trade press with the award ‘Germany's best wine merchant’. Over time, we began to look for new challenges. We wanted to expand our expertise and life experience even further.

In 2015, we sold our wine business and began to develop our own wine project together with the top Spanish winemaker Salus Alvarez. The Terroir X line in the Priorat wine-growing region was born. And this step has paid off. Today, our Terroir X wines are among the best and highest-rated wines in the whole of Spain.

At the beginning of 2020, we also decided to set up our new shop jahrgangsweine.de, a wine shop that particularly appeals to connoisseurs with the highest standards. Our aim here is not to present you with great wine names, but to offer you exquisite wines from the best wine-growing regions in the world with the best possible drinking maturity. 

We prioritise the professional storage of our wines. We only purchase our rare wines from wineries and other reputable sources that can prove that they have been stored in a trustworthy manner.
